Crime Stoppers - How you can report a crime

Crime Stoppers of Michigan was created to provide a safe. anonymous way for citizens to report crime.  Last year in souteast Michigan, more than 3200 tips were called in, leading to about 750 arrests.

There are three ways to cotact the Crime Stoppers of Michigan tip line:

Call: 1-800-SPEAK-UP
Online: www.1800speakup.org
Text: CSM and your tip to CRIMES (274637)

There is up to a $1,000 cash award for tips leading to an arrest on certain crimes.  Calls, online entries and texts do not capture a Caller ID.  Each tip receives a unique ID, which can be used to claim a reward.  Crime stppers must be the first point of contact to receive the award.

Additional information about Canton's participation in the program can be obtained at the the police department website at www.cantonpublicsafety.org.
