At the celebration, Joel Thrutell, author of Up The Rouge, will speak about the importance of clean water in Michigan and around the world. Other organizations will speak about how clean water contributes to the cause of peace around the wrold.
The celebration will feature performances by talented PCEP students including IASA club, Brittany Koptia, the Break-dance club, Jen Schinker, and the Dance Unlimited dance company. There will also be team building activities...and food! The event is FREE - public welcome.
The goal of the Peace Summit celebration, and the Interact Rotary group, is to demonstrate that young people have the power to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. The Peace Summit is the perfect way to show your support!
You can help! Grand Traverse Pie Company on Ann Arbor Rd. is sponsoring a fundraiser for the Peace Summit on Monday, May 4. When making a purchase on that day, mention the "Peace Summit" and 10% of proceeds will support the group.
